Pizzakaya - Tokyo Restaurant guide

Never Again (Sat, Mar 10, '07): So I posted a not so positive experience the first time last year. A friend really wanted to come here so we did, we believe in 2nd chances, after all. The service was appalling. I don't think I've been to a restaurant with worse service in Tokyo. When seated, I looked for the servers to come by so we can order drinks. The guy waved me over as if to say, come here so I can take your order. I didn't think we were at a self service restaurant. Almost 1 hour after ordering, we received part of our order. We later realized they forgot part of our order because the guy said since we used a coupon and it was free, it was forgotten. Ok.... He promised it would come shortly after and apologized profusely. Fair enough. He then offered to give us a discount for our wait but one in our party said out of politeness, "no, it's ok" without giving it further thought. Finally the pizza came and it was good enough. The bill came and we said, "there was no discount" and the guy said, "you said it was ok." Obviously they don't know how to value customers nor want us to come back. So we won't. On a positive note, we asked for a non smoking table and they made the whole restaurant non smoking for our benefit. The pizza was decent. Sad to say that we won't return though because the wait was just too long and we did not have a good night out as a result.
